Welcome to Bumblebees-R-Us

"Bumblebees-R-Us" is committed to age-appropriate teaching methodology that provides children the joyous opportunity of interactive exploration with a wide variety of interesting materials.

Our child-centered activities gently guide children through the process of self discovery – emotional maturity, and readiness skills.

Most importantly – we lay the foundations of "multiple intelligence" with resources that use fascinating content areas for children to investigate, manipulate and explore – with our educational and assessment-based guidance.

We aim for children to leave our center with a demonstrated ability to have developed:

• The "readiness skills" needed to be ready to formally read and write
• The ability to speak and pronounce words clearly
• Possess sound auditory and visual discrimination skills
• Possess a creative and descriptively rich vocabulary
• An on target knowledge of the letters of the alphabet and words they read "by sight"
• Be able to contrast and compare- notice similarities and differences, group elements of a set, see "parts for the whole" – and have a comprehension of numbers as a representation of quantities
• Be able to "predict outcome" in reading as well as math, science, social studies and creative areas
• Demonstrate a matured ability to "stick to a task" and be able to complete it – necessary to the "selective attention" needed to comprehend what they actually read in the future
• Be able to think independently, plan and attempt to follow through with their own plans
• Be able to be part of a group in a social setting and adjust their own temperaments accordingly with confidence and self awareness – along with the ability to modify their own behavior accordingly
• Have some comprehension of the community and the world they live in
• Develop some environmental awareness
• Be free of the emotional burdens that come with phobias and anxiety disorders – Because they should leave us happy, well adjusted, and feeling safe-valued and emotionally secure enough to be able to address anything they come across for the rest of their lives. (Really!)

Bumblebees-R-Us has a multicultural staff proficient in the languages of Russian, Polish, Spanish, as well as proper English. This also satisfies our sojourn into multiple intelligence. We introduce children to the experience of hearing, speaking and communicating in many different languages.
